A ‘Shout Out!’ Finalist

Lambeth’s Member of Youth Parliament, Andrew Short has been selected as a finalist in this years Shiela McKechnie Foundation ‘Shout Out!’ Awards. The awards – which are given out annually – recognise the work of young people campaigning to make positive changes in their local communities.

Andrew has been working with other MYPs to get train and tube fares for 16-18 year olds brought into line with prices offered to those aged 11-15. Following a tough interview on 13 July, Andrew was informed that he had been chosen to attend a finalists’ Awards Ceremony at St Martin in the Fields Church in central London on 10 September.
