Inter-Generational Event

Lambeth Member of Youth Parliament, Andrew Short, spoke at an event today aimed at bringing together members of the older and younger generations. The intergenerational event at Lambeth Town Hall was organised by Adults’ & Community Services, and was opened by Andrew and the borough’s Cabinet Member for Health & Wellbeing, Cllr Lorna Campbell.

The event featured performances from groups both old and young, and focussed on the different ways young and old people can socialise and learn from each other. Andrew said: “It was a really good event. There were lots of different groups performing. I think it’s really good for younger and older people to have the chance to meet up and break down the barriers that are often seen as existing between them”.
