Andrew Short, Lambeth’s Member of Youth Parliament, has decided to spend his Year 10 work experience getting even further involved in the national political scene – by visiting the Home Office!

Andrew worked in the Independent Safeguarding Authority, responsible for the checks designed to protect young people in schools and youth clubs. Andrew said: “I got a real insight into politics ‘behind the scenes’. I was able to see how the laws that are made to protect us are put in to practice, and was even asked to help make a film about the Independent Safeguarding Authority starring Peter Snow!”.
