The 2010 Youth Mayor’s Fund is now closed for applications! The deadline for applications to the 2010 Youth Mayor’s Fund passed on Wednesday, with a record number of applications coming in from young people all over the borough.
The Fund attracted a huge amount of interest this year, with a record 32 applications, and coverage in newspapers including Lambeth Life, the Streatham Guardian, and the South London Press. Even the Fund’s Facebook group attracted over 220 members!
Applications will now be assessed by a trained panel of young people, before projects are shortlisted and applicants interviewed about their project ideas. Final decisions on funded projects will be announces on Friday 30 July.
The Youth Mayor’s Fund is an annual pot of £25,000 available to young people aged 13-19 all across Lambeth. The Fund is designed to give young people a say over the things to do and places to go that are available in the borough.
